Year 2 12th April
Welome to the summer term and International Week!
We hope you all had a lovely break over Easter and enjoyed the ever changing weather.
This week is International week and we are learning about Italy. Can your child tell you...
- which continent we live in?
- which continent Italy is in?
- what is the capital city of Italy?
This week we are learning about life in Italy and comparing it to what we know. We have been or will be...
- learning about some of the famous landmarks in Italy and creating these to make a 3D map
- designing, making and eating pizzas!
- learning about the famous Italian artist and sculptor Michelangelo and experiencing painting upside down
- learning basic football skills
- listening to famous Italian musicians such as Pavarotti
It has been a lovely week so far and we will be ending the week with a little bit of writing about what we have learnt and our favourite facts about Italy.
Here are a few photos of this week...
Things to remember...
