Our first project of the year is an art project called Mix It Up! Year 1 children have been learning about the primary colours and the colour wheel. All children have been exploring mixing the primary colours and year 2s have been focusing on creating different hues.
Attached to the blog is a knowledge organiser with key vocabulary and ideas on.
RSHE
The half term our theme for RSHE is Being in my World. In RSHE lessons we follow the Jigsaw Charter and use our Jigsaw pieces and Jerri cat to help with discussions. We will be thinking about being part of the class and belonging, rights and responsibilities and also rewards and consequences.
RE
During RE this half term we will be focusing on Christianity and the question What did Jesus teach? We will be listening to Bible stories about kindness and thinking about if it is possible to be kind to others all the time.
PE days are as follows...
Sage - Monday & Wednesday
Teal - Monday & Thursday
Emerald - Thursday & Friday
Please make sure all children have a coat and welly boots in school-we try to get outside as much as possible. Thank you!
Please try and make sure children are reading 5 times a week and record this in their reading diaries.
