Miss Banner and Mrs Herron's Blog - week beginning 22.3.21
This is what we have been up to this week...
This week we have been putting the finishing touches to our David Hockney pictures. The children have been adding pastels to really highlight the pictures. We have also had some beautiful pictures produced using the paint program on the iPad. the children have been really pleased with their creations and it has been lovely to see the creativity! We can't wait to see them up in the hall and in the corridors around school.
We have continued to do lots of circle time activities with mindfulness, discussions and music.
In RSHE we have discussed healthy eating, eating a balanced diet and exercise .We have also talked about Pants and the underwear rule using the NSPCC resources. We have also been discussing our feelings and emotions and keep referring to the 'flipping your lid' lesson we did last week.
In maths we have been continuing to learn about numbers to 10, counting backwards and taking one away.
In Phonics we have continued to practise the sounds we have learned so far and also our blending skills.
We have also continued to play both indoors and outside and have a daily story.
Well done to all for settling back into a full class of children with a slightly different routine and new rules! We know there are some very tired children who are certainly ready for a break!
Have a good holiday!
