Welcome back to school
Welcome back to school and welcome back to the sunshine!
The children have all settled in well and are adjusting to being back to school. We have been showing them the routines, especially thing we haven't been able to do such as assemblies in the hall, lunchtime in the hall and having break time outside.
In class we have been getting to know each other by playing games and exploring the resources and toys in the classroom. We have also been thinking about how littering affects animals, been litter picking and created posters to encourage people to put rubbish in the bin and stop littering.
You should all receive letters this week about our trip to Norwich Cathedral to see Dippy and also details on how to sign up to after school clubs.
Things to remember...
- Please remember that we would like children should be reading at least 5 times a week. In year 1 we ask for children to read for around 5-10 minutes and in year 2 building up to 10-15 minutes. Please record this in your reading journal. All children will bring a sharing book home this week and over the next couple of weeks bring a reading book home.
- PE days are as follows...
Monday - Mrs Morgan's class
Tuesday - Mrs Ellis' class
Thursday - Mrs Herron's class
If you have any questions or concerns please email your class teacher.
