The letter formation work every morning when the children are also practising letter formation daily. We are also hearing each child read or do their sound game every week. Please try to do this at home too as daily practice of reading can really help even if it is just for 5 minutes every day.

This week in Talk Through Stories we are looking at vocabulary when we will talk about 8 words from Hugless Douglass and talk about the meaning of thoseordsThe children need to try and use the words throughout the week to show us they have understood! The words this week are snuggled, trembled, peeped, clumsy scooped, wriggled, squeeze and wrapped.

In maths we are looking at different amounts and working out which one has more. We are practising showing different amounts up to four on our fingers. The children have been challenged to show this in different ways plus they have tried to use both hands e.g. 4 - 2 fingers on each hand.

In Project we have read thestory Goldilocks and the Three Bears and  acted the story out.We have also read The Magic Porridge Pot and talked about healthy eating and making good choices with food. The other story is A New Chair for Baby Bear and we have sung different nursery rhymes.

We have started Dots this week which is our mindfulness for children sesions. The children are beginning to notice how their bodies are feeling and also focussing on one thing.

We are also discussing general safety in school.

Don't forget Friday is Children in Need day where th children can come to school wearing a spotty top.

Have a good week!
