Welcome
As CEO of the Wensum Trust, I would like to welcome our parents, carers, children and staff to the new school year. I am hopeful that the next 12 months will be a little more predictable than the last, with fewer disruptions and a lot more time spent in the classroom.
We are proud of the collaborative approach we have taken with schools, in response to the pandemic and all the challenges it brings. The safety of our children and our school communities remain our top priority, and I hope that our openness and transparency has helped you to feel informed and reassured along the way. I don't doubt that Covid-19 will continue to impact school life, but I can assure you that we are committed to working together to keep every child and member of staff safe.
As you may be aware, The Wensum Trust has recently launched a new strap line: For Children, Families and Communities. I feel that this better reflects our commitment to the people we serve and is a more accurate representation of our new aims, vision and approach - All of which you will learn more about in the coming months.
This newsletter is one of the tools we have chosen to use, in order to share the Trust's new direction with families and staff, going forward. I must admit that our communication with school communities has been poor in the past and, for this, I apologise. I hope you find our content interesting and that our newsletters will provide you with a clearer picture of the work we are doing across our 11 schools. We have a lot to share with you and I hope that, throughout the course of this year, you will begin to see how different, innovative and successful our Trust has become.
We welcome any feedback you may wish to share, as you learn more about us, and I encourage you to Contact Us if you ever have any queries or concerns.
Best wishes to all for this school year.
