This week is our final International week, and we are learning all about Egypt. Before starting we recapped on the 7 continents and 5 oceans of the world. Here are some great songs to help you remember them...

We started the week by comparing where we live to Egypt. We didn't find very many things which are similar but, there are many differences.
We will mainly be focusing on modern Egypt but we will be looking at some aspects of Ancient Egypt and creating some Egyptian collar style necklaces later on in the week. This week we will also be...
- Comparing the weather in Norwich and Cairo. Learning about how to fill in a table, use weather symbols and create a key.
- Learning about the famous Egyptian footballer Mo Salah.
- Finding out about the animals which are native to Egypt and how they can survive in such a hot climate.
- Discovering some famous landmarks in Egypt and creating maps to show where these landmarks are.
Phonics and Grammar
In Phonics this week we have been recapping all of the sounds. We have been focussing on writing simple sentences and always using a capital letter, finger spaces and full stops.
