Students Celebrate GCSE Results

Students from across the Wensum Trust’s secondary schools have been celebrating their GCSE results today.

Acle Academy, Alderman Peel High School, and Hellesdon High School, welcomed back Year 11 students as they collected their results.

Acle Academy Principal Helen Watts said: "Acle Academy is celebrating a superb set of results which have enabled our young people to go on to their future destinations with success. Congratulations to all our students and thank you to our wonderful staff who have worked tirelessly to support them alongside our families and the wider community."

Meanwhile at Alderman Peel High School, Principal Matt Hardman said: "We are really proud of the results this wonderful group of students have received today after many years of hard work and dedication. As a school, we have improved performance in every measure, but today is about celebrating the stories behind every individual set of results. We have students who have achieved a staggering number of Grades 7, 8 and 9, as well as students who have worked incredibly hard to achieve GCSE passes across the board. We are equally proud of all of these achievements and know that they will open doors for an exciting future ahead. Even more so, we are very proud of the people they have become, and the life skills, qualities and characteristics they are taking forward with them. Well done to a fantastic set of students and all the very best for the future"

Finally, Mike Earl and Tom Rolfe are joint principals at Hellesdon High School and said: “Congratulations to all of our students who have collected results today. They are testament to the hard work of them, our teachers and the ongoing support from their families. We are delighted for those students who have achieved top grades across the board. We look forward to welcoming those students joining our sixth form but whatever our students' next steps might be, we wish them the very best of luck for the future.”
