At Lodge Lane Infant School we believe that attendance plays an important role in the ability for all children to succeed in education. Daily attendance will help ensure that all children stay on track developmentally and socially. This will allow them to learn the lifelong skills and values they will need throughout education and in later life.

 

School times

School starts at 8:50 am when classroom doors are opened and the school day finishes at 3:00 pm. Children are dropped off and collected from their own classroom.

If you are going to be late to collect your child, or a different person needs to collect your child from school, please contact the school office before the end of the day. This helps us to let your child know the change in arrangement before home time. No children are allowed to go with any other adult without prior permission from their parents.

 

Absences

If your child is absent from school, please contact the school before 9:00 am on 01603 413946. Our policy is to call parents every day if we do not know why a child is absent from school. If we are unable to find out the reason why a child is absent, or if the reason given is not reasonable, then attendance is recorded as being unauthorised.
