Acle Academy

RSC Macbeth

On Monday 10th June, we were lucky enough to have Sophie from the Royal Shakespeare Company in school working with ten of our young people.

Sophie is a director mentor and she was at Acle Academy to help the ten students to prepare for their parts in a performance of Macbeth later in the year. The performance forms this year’s RSC Playmaking Festival at the Playhouse in Norwich taking place in July. It is a collaborative event with four RSC associate schools in the area taking part. We participated last year and had so much fun that we were extremely keen for it to happen again.

Sophie and the students worked for the whole day on stagecraft, script delivery and ideas for how to present our allocated scenes. The students were amazing and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Watch this space for more updates.
