Each class made gingerbread men, which we enjoyed on pyjama day with some hot chocolate whilst listening to stories. During the week, all the children drew a picture of the front cover of one of their favourite books, and painted it very carefully. They all look amazing and we can't wait to see which ones Mrs Dewing will choose to go on display in the library! We did lots of crafts based on books, such as making a bridge for the Gingerbread Man to escape the wolf, and a raft for the 3 Billy Goats Gruff to avoid the troll!              

 

                     

 

On World Book Day itself, we all dressed up as Fairy Tale characters and had a great day! The Year 2 children visited the Year 1 and Reception classes to share some stories with them. Everyone enjoyed seeing all the adults dressed up as well! We had a really fun time and can't wait for next year!
