A fairly even first half saw Jack Sa. give Hellesdon the lead before Open hit back just before half time to level at 1-1. Plenty more goals followed in the second half as the game ebbed and flowed. Dennis A and Robbie A both scored for Hellesdon but these goals were mixed in with two goals from Open to leave the game delicately poised at 3-3 going into the latter stages.

To their credit both teams pushed for the late winner with neither settling for the draw. Unfortunately for Hellesdon, the last play of the game saw Open run through to score the winning goal with the final scoreline 4-3 to Open. Nevertheless, a much improved display by the boys who almost grabbed their first points of the season. Isaac M the standout performer in midfield for HHS.
