Hellesdon High School

Mental Health & Wellbeing

Student wellbeing is a priority at Hellesdon High School and we are proud of the support that we are able to offer to our students.

At Hellesdon High School, we take a whole-school approach to mental health and encourage students to think about both their mental and physical wellbeing by sharing relevant information during tutor time, throughout assemblies, within the curriculum, in our school bulletins and across the school's notice boards.

Our dedicated team of staff, which includes our Wellbeing Coordinator, Miss Thetford, our Mental Health First Aiders and our large team of Pastoral workers, focus on assessing students' individual needs and help them to access the right kind of support by recommending in-school support or by making an external referral. We also have a team of Year 12 Mental Health 'Peer Mentors' who support their fellow students and promote wellbeing across the school.

If you have a concern about a young person at Hellesdon, please speak to their Head of House who can help to ensure they get the support they need.
