A select group of students, who were nominated by their English teachers, joined groups from other schools at the Norwich High School for Girls to listen to acclaimed author and activist Laura Bates. We learnt about the importance of representation in fiction, not just of female characters but those from other marginalised groups as well as hearing about Laura Bates' new book "Sisters of Sword and Shadow". We then had the opportunity to have copies of the book signed by the author herself!
