Our approach to learning, which is based on Imaginative Inquiry, offers a creative and dynamic curriculum with a wide range of opportunities for our pupils to experience. Children enjoy coming to Lodge Lane, where we strive to ensure they develop a positive attitude towards learning.

We LOVED our new play equipment which we were able to use for the first time today. THANK YOU Friends of Lodge Lane Infant School for funding and organising this for us. "My Mum organised this because she's a PTA!" said one of the children. "That was SO much fun!" said another. What lucky children.

Didn't the children all look great dressed up in their best spotty or Pudsey-themed clothes to mark Children in Need today! Thank you for all your donations to this worthy cause. The children were very thoughtful about children less fortunate than themselves. Have a wonderful weekend.

Reception were so interested to learn all about what firefighters do when they brought their fire engine down to visit us! Thank you Mrs Campbell for organising this for us! The children thought it was wonderful!

We're so lucky to have sports coaches working with us at lunchtimes several times a week. Thank you, Mrs Surtee for organising this! The activities have been very popular with Y1 and 2 children and Reception will get the chance to join in after Christmas. The obstacle course was great fun!

Do you know all the ways to make 10? Children in Year 1 certainly do! They also know that addition can be done in any order and you still have the same total.
